Worlds Apart

By Uba Acho

While Ethiopia 🇪🇹 is planting 350million trees 🌳 in 12hours, some ignorant and religious extremists in Nigeria are cutting down trees, even iconic and landmark trees, tagged them evil trees, abode of witches 🧙‍♀️ and wizards and claimed they’re responsible for people’s poverty and misfortune.

To many of us, our knowledge of importance of trees is limited to the fruits 🍈 they bear for us to feed on. Take sometime out to study and understand how important trees are to your health, to the environment, to wildlife, to the economy, to community life, and to the future.

“Trees are vital. As the biggest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilise the soil and give life to the world’s wildlife. They also provide us with the materials for tools and shelter.

Not only are trees essential for life, but as the longest living species on earth, they give us a link between the past, present and future.

It’s critical that woodlands, rainforests and trees in both rural and urban settings, such as parks, are preserved and sustainably managed across the world.

#Trees_benefit_health

The canopies of trees act as a physical filter, trapping dust and absorbing pollutants from the air. Each individual tree removes up to 1.7 kilos every year. They also provide shade from solar radiation and reduce noise.

Research shows that within minutes of being surrounded by trees and green space, your blood pressure drops, your heart rate slows and your stress levels come down.

#Trees_benefit_the_environment

Trees absorb carbon dioxide as they grow and the carbon that they store in their wood helps slow the rate of global warming.

They reduce wind speeds and cool the air as they lose moisture and reflect heat upwards from their leaves. It’s estimated that trees can reduce the temperature in a city by up to 7°C.

Trees also help prevent flooding and soil erosion, absorbing thousands of litres of stormwater.

#Trees_boost_wildlife

Trees host complex microhabitats. When young, they offer habitation and food to amazing communities of birds, insects, lichen and fungi. When ancient, their trunks also provide the hollow cover needed by species such as bats, woodboring beetles, tawny owls and woodpeckers. One mature oak or Iroko tree can be home to as many as 500 different species.

#Trees_strengthen_communities

Trees strengthen the distinctive character of a place and encourage local pride. Urban woodland can be used as an educational resource and to bring groups together for activities like walking and bird-watching. Trees are also invaluable for children to play in and discover their sense of adventure.

#Trees_protect_the_future

Soon, for the first time in history, the number of people with homes in cities will outstrip those living in the countryside. Parks and trees will become an even more vital component of urban life. We must respect them and protect them for the future”

Trees are not evil, Trees give Life and improve quality of our health and environment. Don’t be deceived by any illiterate and ignorant man called pastor/Man of God who has only read the bible, and is out to feed on your gullibility.

Cutting down trees won’t elevate anyone or community from poverty, misfortune and illness.

Don’t be anti Nature.

Sacked for having dual citizenship.

Apparently You won’t be able to seek political office in Nigeria unless you renounce your dual citizenship.

The Ondo State Election Petitions Tribunal has nullified the election of a member of the House of Representatives, Ikengboju Gboluga.

Mr Gboluga represents Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency.

He was sacked by the tribunal for allegedly having dual citizenship.

Mr Gboluga was in April declared the winner of the election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

But the APC candidate challenged the declaration on the grounds that Mr Gboluga holds United Kingdom citizenship in contradiction to the relevant laws of the country, particularly section 66(1) of the 1999 Constitution.

The section states that, “No person shall be qualified for election to the Senate or the House of Representatives if: (a) subject to the provisions of section 28 of this Constitution, he has voluntarily acquired the citizenship of a country other than Nigeria or, except in such cases as may be prescribed by the National Assembly, has made a declaration of allegiance to such a country.”

History Repeating Itself?

By UBA ACHO

This is Mohammed Yusuf the founder of what is known today as Boko Haram. He established a religious complex and school that attracted poor Muslim families from across Nigeria and neighbouring countries. It was a non violence group or should I say a lesser evil, until the Nigeria 🇳🇬 government with their incompetent and inept security forces killed him.

Then they created a vacuum for the violent and bigger evil, Abubakar Shekau to occupy and unleash mayhem on the innocent Nigerian populace.

And the government is repeating same failed approach with the Shiite Muslims. Free Shiite leader #Ibraheem_Zakzaky as the court ordered. We are potentially creating another monster.

The black man stopped thinking.

By oluwaloninyo

The black man had his way of worshiping his God.

The white man came & told him it’s black and devilish; his is the way.

The black man stopped thinking.

The black man no longer needs chains!

He willingly gave his powers & freedom to the unknown God of the white man.

In his foolishness, a black man talks about advancements of the white man.

He doesn’t know of the technologies of the black ancestors before they stopped thinking; believing they were inferior.

Most of the advancements of the white man were built on the blood of slaves.

THINK NIGERIANS..

My response to THINK NIGERIANS..

by Samuel chukwuemeka Nwaiwu

Has Religion has become a big problem in Nigeria??

Answer: yes it’s become a very big problem not just in Nigeria but all over Africa.

If a pastor rapes, he shouldn’t be exposed to face the law??

Answer: yes he should be exposed because Rape is a crime and all criminals are prosecuted in a court of law.

No one should talk about it??

Answer: every reasonable person should talk about it as it goes against everything the church stands for.

But if a woman accuses a pastor of rape

Everyone believes her??

Answer it’s not a question of everybody believing her or not, court of public opinion will always pass judgement but only a court of competent jurisdiction can pass judgement rightly or wrongly.

Every one carries placards for protest???

Answer: Not everyone carries/carried a placard in protest. Less than 500 people Out of 170 million people in Nigeria can never qualify as Everyone.

How many people even have time to cross check the story??

Well this is my submission.

Answer: Not everyone have the time to check her story, her family and friends wouldn’t have that time as they trust her. The same way you will trust your sister, daughter, wife and mother if such calamity befalls them.

Your submission is irrelevant to the case if at all it sees the light of day in court, as you are neither a judge nor a jury.

Busola Dakolo said she was raped by Pastor Biodun when she was 16.. No year added..

She was the winner of Idols west Africa in 2007..

She met with her husband Timi Dakolo in the same Coza church in 2008

She claimed her parents had traveled out of town with her siblings, leaving her alone..

She said it was about 7am when Pastor Biodun knocked on her door, she opened the door and the pastor without wasting time pushed her down and raped her, she even said she didn’t struggle due to how the pastor petted her..

My question is..

1..How could her parents traveled out of town with other siblings leaving her alone in a Duplex like she described??

Answer: My Dad worked far away in Lagos while me and my siblings and mum lived in owerri, my mum goes to the shop every Monday to Saturday living us to ourselves.

Not all family has the same model as yours while growing up.

2.. How did Pastor Biodun know her parents had traveled and she was alone, such that he raped her not minding if anyone could come out??

Answer: A groomer studies it’s prey, works his or her way around its victim and their family. Most rape cases are done by close relatives and friends.

3.. How can a man disvirgin a teen without lubricant and she said she didn’t struggle??

Is there a virgin so wet and opened?

She said he raped her the second time in a secluded Bush

Answer: you might have had sex with a virgin who screamed and cry does not mean every girl in the world screamed and cry on their first time having sex, especially if it was not a forceful penetration. Hence i continually ask you to study cases child groomers, most times the victims never knew they where manipulated and raped until a later stage in their life. Timi have never said he was a member of CoZA neither has CoZA claimed he’s was ones a member.

4.. Was the sex in the bush still rape??

Could it be possible to follow a man who raped you alone into a bush??

Where they looking for snails??

Answer: like I pointed out earlier her case has all the signs of grooming, hence she might not have knows.

The report says her parents knew about it and confronted the pastor, but the Pastor begged and blamed it on the devil..

Answer: reports from unverified source can’t stand as facts, as far as am concerned it’s rumours until we hear from their parents.

5.. Is it possible for a parent to ignore a pastor who defiled their daughter??

A man who raped your daughter both at home and the bushes?? Waka ✋

Answer: With the current rate of brain washing going on in religious places in Nigeria? Yes it’s very possible. We all saw how God of men told parents to throw away their babies because the are witches and wizards. This are verifiable cases in calabar. I will look for the link on aljazeera for you.

6.. Could it be possible for the parents to still worship in such congregation until Busola met Dakolo in 2008??

Answer: very very possible.

NIGERIANS THINK

Does anyone know what Rape is??

Can you all imagine the pains and effects??

Especially a little teenager

Do you all visualize the picture of the victim..

Answer: yes I have worked with a couple of them in line with my job so I know first hand.

But no, she followed him again to the bushes , That’s the lie that can break my spines..

Answer: Grooming…….

Why don’t these raped community women accuse prayer houses prophets.. ??

Why don’t they accuse upcoming churches??

Answer: you haven’t spoken to any Rape activist to find out the number of cases the deal with on a daily bases. I will direct you to AKU a Youtube blogger and a human rights lawyer. Speak to her or any of her colleagues and thank me later.

Why must it be Big churches

Especially when the pastor wears designers and wears good perfumes..

You now remember how you were laid off in the bushes..

Answer: It’s not only big churches, big church make the news because they are big. This only became popular because it involves big celebrities. Ese Walters was a nobody hence her story against the same big pastor was swept under the carpet.

7.. What was Busola’s position or her parent’s in the church that warranted such closeness of the pastor going to the house by 7am..

Answer: you and I don’t know how close he was to the family so that question is left for the pastor to clear the air on.

Note that i don’t support Rape, be it by anyone..

What i hate is lies from the pit of hell..

Cheap lies..

you claim not to support rape but your views and the way you are trying to suppress the issue shows complacency.

I don’t know if there will be any reasonable prove by Busola in future..

But for now

I don’t see any living evidence to prove her right, especially saying the pastor used her in the bush like a bush meat.. 😂

Let’s do away with religious sentiments

Jesus didn’t rape and so his followers should not rape, no one is justified by raping..

But don’t also forget that people lied against Jesus Christ

Infact they killed him..

And even up till today

People still write books of Anti Christ

They accuse Jesus of being Gay in books 😂

Let us never be quick to Judge a man..

Before you take up that placard and match out for protest..

THINK

THINK

THINK NIGERIA.. 💔💔

Answer BLA BLA BLA

Take this from me, Forget the title Pastor, Reverend, Daddy GO, Konji doesn’t Respect anointing.

Hence you guys warn against indecent dressing. 👍🏾🙏🏾

EL Zakzaky the New threat?

By UBA Acho

El Zakzaky is a threat to Nigeria 🇳🇬 and it’s people they’ve been echoing. But he wasn’t dangerously a threat when Buhari was seeking for Office? They all paid him a courtesy visit seeking for his support.

Some individuals are using their positions in authority to fight religious and Islamic war of Sunni vs Shia Muslims. If proper care is not taken Nigeria might become a ground for a battle of supremacy between Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 and Iran 🇮🇷.

If it’s genuinely about Nigeria’s democracy, I think Miyetti Allah pose more threat to Nigerians. A government that is releasing captured and incarcerated Boko Haram fighters shouldn’t be telling us how dangerous El Zakzaky and Shiites are. My only concern is, let rule of law take its course. If court of competent authority has granted him bail, then he should be released. And protest shouldn’t be a death sentence, employ a better crisis and conflict management technique.

Is El Zakzaky and Shiites dangerous? Yes

Is Miyetti Allah dangerous? yes

Are Fulani Herdsmen terrorists dangerous? Yes

But why is the government fiercely dealing with one while dealing with the other with kids-gloves?

For all those mostly from the North supporting this government’s impunity, may I remind you, none of these leaders’ families or relatives are in any IDP camp. When e go red, na me and you go suffer amm. Use your brain if you have one.

Living in a glass house

After a hot debate and disagreement with some colleague on a topic on TVC your view about people from other church denomination secretly going to white garment churches through the back door for prayers. Yet they don’t want to associate with white garment churches in public.

I argued there is nothing wrong with going to white garment church as I don’t see the difference with what’s going on in the churches today. people run to men of god for prayers and expect quick answers to their prayers, i believe It’s just prejudice and misconceptions from Nollywood movies and public perception.

I asked a few questions waiting for a reply but unfortunately, I got the usual responds, which was quite disappointing.

  • Have you ever attended a white garment church before? Answer NO but I have heard things about them.
  • Has it occurred to you that the white garment churches have their own doctrine of worship just as your church has theirs? Answer yes but they use RED candles instead of white candles. RED candles are evil that makes them evil. They destroy families and tell people false vision that people are after their life.
  • But Catholics use red candles. No, they don’t they only use white candles.
  • But most churches are guilty of selling visions to their worshippers, including your church. No, my church doesn’t.

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, and to think i was talking to graduates who should know better on how to research and  not to generalise, but on a second thought its coming from Christians and friends who has repeatedly refuse to debate discrepancies in their faith and believes in Christianity.

I once made a post saying watching Nollywood reduces one IQ and sense of reasoning to 0 and I made no apology for that statement.

These individuals couldn’t see they were generalising based on hear say and not necessarily backed up by proper research.

These people failed to see that just like them, some people were born into white garment church and never chose to be members.

Even after I showed them evidences of red candles being used in church service, they blatantly chose to ignore my evidence.

Just in case you are among the shallow minded Christian, that believe red candled signifies evil then think again. The catholic church which was on of the first church that propagated Christianity you practice today do use red candles for

  • Transubstantiation: celebration of Eucharist, breaking of bread and drinking of wine in remembrance of Jesus death and resurrection. Catholic theology teaches that through the priest words of consecration, bread and wine are supernaturally and fundamentally changed into the body and blood of Christ.
  • The burning of red candles is said to put one in touch with the power of the flesh.
  • Sanctuary lamp: honour given to the body and blood; red candle is traditionally lit beside the tabernacle to show it contains consecrated elements.
  • Other of candles have symbolic functions, according to st Mary’s Anglican catholic church of Denver, sometimes Catholics lite candles as a reminder that their prayers continue to rise to God even after they leave the church building.
  • Candles also reminds them that Jesus is the light of the church

Faith failed LEAH SHARIBU

By UBA ACHO

Heard that Leah Sharibu, one of the Dapchi schoolgirls abducted last year has been killed by Boko Haram.

If true, go well and rest well beautiful soul. Jehovah failed you, Jesus Christ failed you, Holy Ghost failed you.

Adeboye failed you, Oyedepo failed you, Suleiman failed you, CAN failed you.

Buhari failed you, Nigeria army and Police failed you.

The church was busy singing when they should be swinging. The church was busy praying when they should be marching. Con men on the pulpit dubbed Pastors lost their voices. Jehovah God and Adeboye were busy drinking tea while you were languishing in captivity.

Jesus Christ was busy working in mysterious ways and Holy Spirit the errand boy was nowhere to be found.

My thoughts are with your family and loved ones 🙏🏿🙏🏿✊🏿✊🏿

Lucky Dube Was Right, It’s a Crazy World

By UBA ACHO.

Ladies and Gentle men, this is a feminist art exhibition somewhere in Europe.

Let’s consider few points;

1) Imagine for a second, if the roles reversed with a table filled with model penises, a room full of men watching on, one of which is exposing himself to a handful of young girls? I’m dead sure the cops would not have been called fast enough screaming “paedophilia”!

This is child abuse!

2) If the roles were reversed, there would be an outcry and outrage about child abuse, and “grooming” of young girls to be sexually submissive to men.

This is child abuse in all levels!

3) Isn’t this in essence, adults flashing to children? and pushing sexually charged dialogue? exactly the type of thing that used to be called sexually deviant and used to carry a prison term?

Is engaging with a child sexually, now ok?

Sexualisation of children is not ok, be it heterosexuality or homosexuality, leave the kids out of it. There should be a clear line between adults living according to their beliefs about sexuality and gender, and imposing those beliefs on young children.

Modern Liberalism, contemporary feminism and current Leftists inadvertently are creating a new generation of conservatives, they’ve created a pathway for the new wave of populism and populists rise to power around the world. Is not a coincidence that far right movements are on the surge, rising from the ashes of obscurity.

The look on the faces of the kids tell the story.
